FAQ

Questions that come up a lot

Is there a trial or free limit on the plugin itself?
No limit. The plugin is MIT-style licensed; you can fork, modify, and ship it with your project. The only metered piece is Brain access, and even that has a free community tier.
What happens when I hit my hourly Brain quota?
You keep working. Brain calls return 429 and the plugin falls back to the bundled local node catalogue plus your AI provider's own prompt. Generation quality drops slightly (no few-shot retrieval), but nothing breaks. Quota resets at the top of the next hour.
Can I run everything locally with Ollama and skip Brain?
Yes. In Project Settings, set AI Provider to Ollama and point it at a local endpoint. The plugin only calls Brain for few-shot retrieval and the node catalogue refresh; both are best-effort and gracefully fall back to bundled assets.
When I upgrade to User tier, does my existing community key change?
Same key, new tier. Your key ID stays the same so contribution history is preserved; we just flip the tier flag and attach the email for delivery on future magic links and quota-bump notifications.
How does pricing work for Team tier when it launches?
We haven't set final numbers yet, but the plan is seat-based (per developer at your studio) with a shared quota pool that beats individually-upgraded User tier at 3+ seats. If you want to help us calibrate, email support@woalz.com.
Will you ever charge for the plugin itself?
No. The plugin is free and open source and will stay that way. Brain is the sustainable-income surface.
